Through the exploration work two prospects within the Charlotte Bongará Property, Cristal and San José, were identified as having the potential to host significant sized Mississippi Valley Type – style mineralization. Each of these prospects, with the majority of the work concentrated on the Cristal Prospect, were trenched, mapped, and sampled in 2004 as part of the work conducted by Anglo Peruana. Additional prospects were also identified and will require additional exploration before the source of the anomalies can be determined. The Cristal Prospect, containing an area of approximately 2.5 km by 1km with 10 zinc showing, occurs along a south dipping slope, at the base of which runs the Cristal River. Numerous mineral occurrences have been identifies; on the lower slope the occurrences contain lead-zinc sulphides while higher on the slope the mineralization comprises principally zinc oxides. The San José Prospect, located some 10km southwest of the Cristal Project, consists of several individual mineralized occurrences. These occurrences are hosted in the “favourable” Chambará Formation limestones. The Prospect is still in the preliminary exploration stages and requires additional mapping and other exploration work to further clarify the mineralization. Based on the analysis of the studies and exploration work it is believed that the Charlotte Bongará Property contains all the necessary criteria to host potentially economic large and small-scale Mississippi Valley Type style zinc-lead mineralizations. A two-phase, results driven exploration program has been recommended that would consist of detailed mapping and sampling programs, grid style soil sampling, ground magnetic geophysical surveys, diamond drilling, early stage metallurgical studies and additional exploration activities as is considered necessary.
